I was very fortunate to have dived on the Volnay due to meeting up with some lads from Swansea who showed me and my buddy where to dive and pointed us in the right direction. I'm sorry I cant pin point the exact year but it was many years ago and I was one of the lucky ones and have on my mantleshelf two lovely (detonators removed) top cones with safety caps showing a date of 1917 along with lead shot and other parts. I am sorry to say that the outer casing was in too bad a state to save. The cones were made up of several layers and one has a bear stamped on the bottom. When I look at them they bring back many happy memories of my diving days. Hope you find this interesting. Sheila
