		<description>Odd that you should say &#039;...it now looks much as it did in those times...&#039; (i.e. in 1890) because the original cottage is a very small section in the middle of the building. The left hand section, incorporating the front entrance, main lounge, office and hall were built later, also the dining room, which is to the right of the original cottage. Later still the dining room was extended further and a few years after that the neighbouring property, named Westerleigh, was bought and incorporated into the whole.
     The &#039;chart room&#039;, as you call it, was always known as &#039;the cabin&#039; and came from salvaged wreckage. My brother and I often had tea there as children when Mr. &amp; Mrs. Dudley J. Holliday, our aunt and uncle, ran the hotel many years ago.</description>
