Peter, what a great site.

My father was stationed in Scapa Flow during the Second World war. Unfortunately he died whe I was 16. However before then, when I must have been about 8 years old, he took us all up to Orkney to see where he had been.

I particularly remember the Italian Chapel as a place we visited and your photos reminded me of the whole trip.

We also went on a boat around the old man of Hoy in the same trip to Scotland, and my mother was as sick as the cod she caught looked!

I know there isn't much ship wreck diving in the Lake District but if you ever need accommodation to dive the old slate mines then do come and stay at our cottages. I'd be delighted to offer you a 10% discount.
